While we always appreciate phenotypically pleasantly appearing livestock; we really want to produce elite carcass genetics that will create demand in the purebred industry while providing a superior experience to the consumer.
We demand that our cows are developed with the economically important traits of good udders and teat placement, sound structure including feet and legs, fertility and great disposition. If we are critical in these areas longevity will be a bonus. We have done live animal carcass evaluation since 1995. Building families allow us to maintain consistency throughout our Hereford herd. Utilizing AI, ET, IVF and Genomic DNA testing allow us to stay ahead of the curve.
